Canadian Government Issues Travel Warning

April 28, 2009, Ottawa

The Canadian Government issued an official warning against all non-essential travel to Mexico. The Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (FAIT) media release includes additional details on the recent outbreak of human swine influenza. For updates, ongoing information or concerns about travel to other countries. use the "Government of Canada Advisories" link on the Resources page on the TPI - Janus Travel website.

We still love Mexico & our friends there! Until this travel warning is lifted, our motto "We'll take you there" means: "Where are your other dream destinations?" There are plenty of great values & destinations for this spring, summer & fall. We planned our next trip months ago... Hawaii!

Results of the TPI - Photo Caption Contest

Do you remember my neighbour's flamingos? This pair of pink plastic yard ornaments in a snow storm were given "stories" in the TPI - Photo Caption Contest. Thank you to everyone who entereed. Now... May I have the envelope please?

My dreams of receiving fabulous photos from happy travellers are coming true (with increasing regularity!) Thank you Dale Connors & Donna Vinokurov for bringing me such a huge & wonderful photo archive from Thailand! Your names are today's additions to the acknowledgement section of the website.

Dale & Donna are both wonderful people. We love having such terrific clients! Looking at their pictures tells me they definitely had an amazing trip. We arranged a long stay in Hua Hin after their arrival in Bangkok. From there, they spent almost three months exploring Thailand. Please read the second post with today's date. It includes a few more "sneak preview" photos.
